St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs St Lucia Zouks 6th Match Match Summary Highlights

The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots registered their maiden in the Hero Carribean Premiere League 2016 when to they had faced St. Lucia Zouks in the recently match. They not only won the match but even raised their Net Run Rate as they thrashed the Darren Sammy’s led side by 58 runs.

The match started with Dareen Sammy won the toss and asked the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots to bat first. Then, Lendl Simmons along with his opening partner Evan Lewis walked out to bat.

They gave their team a blistering start and crossed the fifty run stand, and then Lendl Simmons throws his wicket after scoring 30 runs.

Then Faf Du Plessis joined hands with the Evin Lewis to take the scorecard to a massive total. Meanwhile, Evin Lewis was hitting the ball brilliantly , on the other side Du Plessis was suffering to score runs and finally got out  on 9 by the brilliant bowling of Morne Morkel.

Devon Thomas then combined the partnership with the Evin Lewis to take the scorecard ticking. Soon , after Evin Lewis score his first CPL fifty of this season and was looking set to score big run.

Both these pairs crossed the 50 run partnership, and runs were flowing from the bat of both these west Indian batsman.

Then Evin Lewis got out after scoring magnificent 73 off just 36 balls and after that other batsman tried to help Devon Thomas to score big runs.

Rest of the batsman was not able to score bigger runs except Devon Thomas who score quickfire 48 runs off just 27 balls and took the scorecard to 203-7 (20 over).

From the St. Lucia Zouks Watson took the 3 wickets and Morne Morkel, Sammy and Derone Davis took one wicket each.

Now, it was the turn of the St. Lucia Zouks to chase down the mammoth total of 2013 and for that Shane Watson and Johnson, Charles took the responsibility for chasing 2013.

And somehow they gave their team a much-needed start and at one-time scoreboard was at 90 for no wicket.

But suddenly collapse started for St. Lucia Zouks when Charles failed to read the Badree leg spin and gave his wicket for 40 runs and after that Watson also went back to Pavillion after his magnificent 51 runs and then rest of the batting unit of this team failed to take the responsibility to take their team to victory.

And the likes of David Miler, Darren Sammy, and Andre Fletcher failed to contribute and Michale Hussey was not out at the end on 22 off 29 balls.

St. Lucia Zouks was settled for the score of 145-5 (20 over) and this helps the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots to register their maiden win for this tournament.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Evin Lewis was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant 73 runs.
