Star Player Suresh Raina Out of 2nd ODI Due To Viral Fever :- The Indians started the five-match ODI series against the New Zealand with the bang as they won the first game with the heavy margin. Although the Indians has been struck with the disappointing news the ace middle order batsman, Suresh Raina will not be the part of playing XI in the second ODI.
According to the reports, the 29-year-old batsman was suffering from viral fever and thus, did not participated in the first ODI, and it is believed that the southpaw is still recovering from the fever.
According to the medical team of the Indian team, Raina is yet to recover fully from the fever and most probably he will join the Indian team for the third ODI.
Although, Raina went for the net session yesterday and therefore, there were a lot of confusion whether he would play of not. The second ODI is scheduled to play on 20th October 2016, and now when Raina has been ruled out, MS Dhoni will be the batting core in the middle order in the Indian team.
Meanwhile, after India won the first ODI, it was very much expected that Dhoni will enter the second ODI with the same playing XI like he does in most of his career. However, it is the perfect opportunity for the likes of Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav to display their potential in the lower order of Indian batting.
