As per the Sources that the grandmother of Chandu died of shock after hearing the news that Chandu has been captured by Pakistani forces.

Singh assured the family member of Chandu that the government is doing its best to bring back home the soldier Chandu safe.

As per the Indian Army sources had said yesterday that Chandu Babulal Chohan – one soldier from 37 RR with weapon, has unintentionally crossed over to the other side of the Line of Control. The DGMO has informed Pakistan on the hotline.

According to the sources that his crossing over was not related to the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army at terror launch pads in PoK.

The Home Minister Rajnath Singh earlier said that the government has taken note of the reports which stated that an Indian soldier is in the captivity of Pakistan and all attempts were being made to secure his release and bring back home safe.
