26th January-2016 World Television Hindi Hotstar Star Gold Tv Talvar Film Movie Republic Day 2016 Special. The movie is Director Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Tavar’, based on the Arushi Talwar murder case.
A bold portrayal of one of the most controversial and sensitive cases, ‘Talvar’ will be telecast on January 26 at 2000 hrs.

‘Talvar’ was applauded for its gutsy portrayal of the case that shocked the nation. The film received an unprecedented support from the industry.
Talvar Movie has received mixed reviews from critics and 61st Filmfare Awards Talvar was nominated for five awards, including Best Film and it won the Filmfare Award for Best Editing.
“‘Talvar’ is very special to all of us and I definitely could not have asked for anything better for the film,” Meghna said.
With Gulzar’s lyrics, Vishal Bhardwaj’s music and cinematography by Pankaj Kumar, famous for his work in “Haider” and “Ship Of Theseus”, the thriller is a fictional dramatisation of true life events revolving around the 2008 murder case investigation.
Irrfan, who will be at TIFF, has been requested to be present at all the film festivals for “Talvar” because of his international appeal.
