Kangana Ranaut’s romantic comedy movie “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” broke the records of all films including Salman Khan’s film Bodyguard which is counted as the most successful film of Bollywood. However, films like, “Piku” and “Gabbar Is Back” continues its run at the box office, while “Dil Dhadakne Do” and “Hamari Adhuri Kahani” ticket sales dropped.

Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan starrer “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” has become the 12 highest grosser after pushing Salman Khan’s “Bodyguard” on 13th spot.
The film earned total amount of Rs.149.34 crore, which indicates, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” shattered the lifetime box office earnings of Salman’s “Bodyguard” (Rs.148.86 crore). Earlier, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” broke the worldwide collection record of “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

The film is now approaching Rs. 150 crore mark targets, which is high for any Bollywood movie.
Apart from R.Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut, Deepak Dobriayal and Swara Bhaskara also played important roles in the movie. The film directed by Anand L Rai in which Kangana Ranaut played dual role. In her dual role she won public’s heart. The film actually makes her favorite of the mass. Currently, she is gearing up for her next release “Katti Batti” co-starring Imran Khan.
Piku Box Office Collection
While, Deepika starrer “Piku” well received by the audience after released. The film received mostly positive report in box office.
The film’s total accumulates the collection of Rs.79.92 crore till 28 June. Akshay Kumar starrer “Gabbar Is Back” minted Rs. 87.52 crore after its eight week.
