Merely there is anyone who doesn’t like R.D.Burman music affectionately known as “Pancham Da”, who composed music for 300 films. His songs include, “Yeh Shaam Mastani”, “Dum Maaro Dum”, “Jaane Ja”, “Yeh Ladka Hain Allah Kaisa Hain Deewana”, “Chura Liya Hain Tumne Jo Dil Ko” and so on all time favorite for music lovers. He was the one who introduced western music to our Hindi films music which is still immortal.

The late musician RD Burman was most charismatic music composer of Bollywood who was considered as a prodigy for our nation.Some of the new Bollywood movies such as ‘Jhankaar Beats’ and ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’ which were dedicated to the singer, composer and musician.

Most of the songs composed by the versatile “Pancham Da” were very popular. Many have been remixed and are still popular in disco club across the country. Many of the songs composed by him are youth cult songs which are still difficult to replace.

For instance, his peppy dance number form the film “Shaan” sung by legendary singer Asha Bhosle, picturised on the evergreen diva of the tinsel town Praveen Babi, “Jawani Jaaneman Haseen Dilruba” always used in many films and accolades by the people.

He often used to playback 1970s actors of B-Town, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Rishi Kapoor and many more. The multi-faced celebrity was son of the legendary music director S.D.Burman, shares very warm professional relationship with epic singer Kishore Kumar and his wife Asha Bhasle who is indeed a talented singer. Well, the classic singer was born in 27th June 1939 in Kolkata. He was popular till his death and his last film as a composer was “1942 Love story” featuring Anil kapoor and Manisha Koirala in lead role. It was a black day for the entire music fraternity when he left the world for eternal peace on 4th January 1994 in the Mumbai.
