The trailer of the much awaited and critically acclaimed movie “Aligarh” is out which is featured Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkumar Rao in the lead roles. The film has been directed by Hansal Mehta. The film is based on a real life story of a professor.
As per report, the film “Aligarh” speaks about a Professor who used to teach in the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). But he was a gay and very controversial person which led to his suspension from the university.
His personal life was also controversial and the story of the movie “Aligarh” is all about that what will be happening to the professor. Manoj Bajpayee played role of the professor which brought him huge critical acclaimed.
Regarding playing role of a homosexual man Manoj Bajpayee stated to media that, “We wanted to make a great film out of it. And for a second thought that we are making a film on homosexuality. We always thought we were making a film on somebody who deserved much more than what he got from the society”.

The dialogues of the movie have been pained by Apurva Asrani and the entire film industries including Karan Johar praised the trailer of the movie.
The movie “Aligarh” was screened in the Busan International Film Festival 2015 and it also careened at the very prestigious BFI London Film Festival in the last year.
