Shahrukh Khan’s played an iconic character of a disordered lover in Darr in 1993. The film had Juhi Chawla as the female lead who is the victim of SRK’s obsession. The movie was a blockbuster at the box office and is however deemed a classic cult till now. And now the epic movie is going to have a sequel titled Darr 2.0.
Darr 2.o will be a revival of the psychological thriller which will be a new genre by YFlims. Before Darr 2.0, it has five comedy genres. The five-part series aims to hold a mirror to the unsafe context of online privacy onslaught and social media persecution that can take a terrible and frightening turn if avoided.
The teaser trailer looks rather intriguing. Darr 2.0, will again cast the roles of Rahul, Kiran and Sunil but in this modern time, the obsession and fear will take the form of the era of online stalking and cyber crimes. Though the movie will draw our attention on the new ‘Rahul’ stalking teenager on social media and download their images from the profile. It is really very creepy.
The upcoming psychological drama has been directed by Vikas Chaitndra. The story of the series is composed by Nikhil Taneja and the screenplay and dialogues of the same are penned by Shubham Yogi and Taneja. The cast hasn’t announced yet. But we are hoping SRK will not come back in the sequel as he died in the original. Maybe Ranveer Singh would make a cameo appearance in the sequel as we know how big fan of the original he is. On his recent tour to Switzerland, he has recreated the popular song Tu Mere Saamne from the film. The video he shared on social media went viral and even SRK is impressed with his tribute to him.
