Watch Video: Sabbir Rahman smashes Chris Gayle’s 112 Runs BPL record :- The Bangladesh Premier League witnessed the glimpse of a destruction on a Sunday night when several records were broken by Shabbir Rahman’s sensation 122.This magical innings of the Rahman blew the record of the Chris Gayle for the highest individual score in the BBL history. Gayle scored a prolific 112 in the second edition of BBL and till, yesterday evening it was the highest individual score by any batsman in this tournament.However, it is well said that every record is meant to be broken and the same was with Gayle’s record at BBL. Shabbir Rahman was playing for Rajshahi Kings in the match against the Barisal Bulls at the Shere Bangla Stadium, in Mirpur, Bangladesh.
The 24-year-old Bangladesh batsman while chasing the score of 193 set by Barisal, in a high-scoring match smashed 122 runs off just 61 balls and reached his maiden t20 hundred. In this massive innings, the right-hander batsman hit nine sixes and as many fours.
Although, Shabbir’s knock went in the vain as his team failed to cross the winning line and thus lost the match. Meanwhile, Shabbir Rahman has got the t20 hundred at the start of the BBL and this century will definitely give him the confidence in the upcoming matches of the BBL for his team.
