Indian Test team defeated West Indies in the third test by 237 runs as West Indies failed to make survive on the last day of the third test match at Gros Islet. India lead the 4 match series by 2-0.
Jason Holder won the toss and asked the Indian batsman to bat first. Then, the opening pair of Lokesh Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan walked down the crease to give their team a solid start. But Shannon Gabriel took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan when he was on 4 runs.
Then, Virat Kohli followed him and his outing as new No 3 for India failed. Ajikya Rahane joined hand with Lokesh Rahul and looked to settle down the batting unit of his team.
Both started playing brilliant strokes, especially Lokesh Rahul and soon reached his half-century. Although, after reaching half century and this brought Rohit Sharma down the cricket, but soon feel and even Rahane also followed him.
Then, the new pair of R Ashwin and Wriddhiman Saha join hands and looked to steady the inning of India. Both started defending the ball and were playing cautiously. Then, Marlon Samuels walked down the crease. But, he soon lost his partner Braithwaite. Well, and after that Bhuvneshwar Kumar makes his present felt as he claimed 5 wickets and settle the West Indies batting order for 225.
For India I first innings, Kumar claimed 5fer and other 5 wickets were shared amongst the Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, and Jadeja.
Now, it was the turn for India to bat in the second inning to set out the target for West Indies team. Dhawan and Shikhar although started well, but they failed and even Virat Kohli went early.
Then, the duo of Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane helped India to steady down the innings from West Indies bowlers. And , both does the same, but Rohit got out for 41 and Ajinkya Rahane remains not out for 78 and Kohli declared and asked West Indies batsman to chase down the target of 343.
But except Darren Bravo’s 59 all other batsman failed to make any impact and West Indies settle down on the just 108.
