World’s largest spinning wheel ‘Charkha’ Establish in Hyderabad to be installed at IGI Airport

The weight of this charkha is 4 tonne made  with high quality teak- wood. The charkha is made by the (KVIC) Khadi and village industries commission. This huge Charkha is made in Hyderabad. This charkha is estimated for last 50 years. And it is ready to be installed at (IGI) Indira Gandhi International airport.

This huge Charkha is made by around 26 people and with so many carpenters too in 40 days as KVIC said. The chairman of KVIC VK Saxena decided to install the World’s largest Charkha at Indira Gandhi International airport.

He told that he wanted to show everyone that India believes in Non-Violence and its a symbol which will be seen at Indira Gandhi International airport to represent India where among 250000 people came everyday from different countries and from different states.

It is said that it can be written in Genius book of world record as world’s largest Charkha. Charkha is closely associated to our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi who use it to symbolize the non-violence during independence struggling days in India.

He used Charkha to made soot and then he wear clothes making by that soot to represent Khadi. Well this new world’s biggest Charkha is 9 metres in length and 5 metres in height.
