Young man kills self in Kerala after attacked and shamed by moral vigilantes on V Day :- A young boy 23-year-old hanged himself on Thursday in his house in Palakkad district, Kerala after he was filmed and shamed by moral vigilantes on Valentines Day.
As per the reports that Aneesh was found hanging from a tree behind his house late last evening.
On the Valentine’s Day, Aneesh was with a female friend at a beach in Kollam, then a group of five men approached them and grilled them with a vulgar line of questioning.
The woman was relieving herself in the bushes as there was no public toilet around. The gang attempted to attack her. The young man who attempted to defend her was also thrashed by the gang.
The entire incident was recorded and was shared on social media.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that such criminal activities will not be tolerated in Kerala. The accused men were arrested after the victim couple approached the police.
Recently a couple from Thiruvananthapuram live streamed harassment by police officers on social networking site – Facebook.
