Rustom takes a lead over Mohenjo Daro 3rd Day Box Office Collection Sunday

Akshay Kumar’s Rustom and Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro is having the face to face completion in the box office as both films hit theater together so the films are facing everlasting clash at the box office.

When both films opened at theaters on the Friday morning of 12 August, both movies depict its strengths and weaknesses. On the one hand, both Akshay and Hrithik were highly marketable stars. Though Akshay is considered as the most popular star of the Bollywood box office as his recent successful films showcased that.

Mohenjo Daro is Hrithik’s comeback movie after Bang Bang of 2014 Bang Bang is an official remake of the Hollywood movie Knight and Day, which grossed over Rs 180 crore at the box office. But Mohenjo Daro is an original periodic movie directed by one of the finest director Ashutosh Gowarikor.

Moving on to the directors, Mohenjo Daro definitely had a respected name behind the scene Ashutosh Gowariker; but unfortunately his last released Whats Your Rashee and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey did not perform well at the box office so expectation from Mohenjo Daro having huge.

Last time when Gowariker worked with the Greek God in Jodha Akbar it creates the history so expectation from Mohenjo Daro is having huge.

Rustom is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai who earlier directed film like 1920: London. Rustom had generated a high amount of interest, because of its subject matter (the KM Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra case), and Mohenjo Daro is a historical flick.

Because of the independence holiday both film yet to sense that it will perform well at the box office. Despite Rustom received a huge number of screens but still it received a less occupancy of 35% followed by 40% and Rustom received 50% to 60% of occupancy.

Rustom collected Rs 15 crore around while Mohenjo Daro collected Rs 8-10. It is actually the collections has been quotes by the trade experts and distributors for the films. Trade analyst and editor of KoiMoi.com Komal Nahta also consider Rustom as the second highest opening movie of Akshay after Airlift.

Rustom is doing well in metro cities including Mumbai and Delhi apart from in North India and in South India, the film receives the moderate response. Mohenjo Daro is doing well in the Southern region then of North. Rustom is made up with 50 crores so the film can earn its feedback easily.

Mohenjo Daro is as per Filmfare report made up with 100 crores but till now Ashutosh Gowariker or production team confirm nothing like that. Trade experts predicted that Rustom could potentially earn around Rs 40-50 crore. For Mohenjo-Daro, a lot depends on the word of mouth and reviews, while Mohenjo Daro can ear Rs 20-30 crore.
