Five people killed and two injured after a building collapse in Meerut on Sunday. Due to heavy rains a two-storey building collapses in Meerut.
The departed people include three children. The incident is of the Meerut’s Kuri village. According to the police, 4 persons were saved and have been sent to the district hospital for medical treatment and dead ones for the post mortem. It is also expected that some animals may be trapped in debris.
The building in Meerut’s Kuri village collapsed due to heavy rainful in U.P. The house said to be belonged to Vijaypal Singh, a farmer, who was sleeping along with 8 other members of his family.
Singh’s daughter-in-law Suman, his grandchildren Mayank and Khushi as well as another family member all died. Suman was pregnant lady.
Villagers saved the surviving members of the family from the debris and rubble, one of whom is currently in a critical condition.
