A Passenger died in Delhi-Doha flight of Jet Airways

New Delhi: A passenger who was traveling in a Jet Airways flight to Doha from Delhi, passed away on board. Following the medical emergency, the plane being diverted to Karachi, Pakistan.

As per the report of Jet Airways that as the flight was diverted and medical assistance duly coordinated prior to arrival at Karachi airport, the guest succumbed on arrival in Karachi.


The incident happened on Monday night on flight 9W 202 that departed from the national capital late night.

Details about the deceased passenger could not be immediately ascertained.

As per the airline, the aircraft is returning to the national capital and the staff are making full arrangements to hand over the body to the authorities as per standard operating procedures.

The carrier has also expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. As many as 141 passengers were on board the Boeing 737 aircraft.

In a statement, Jet Airways said that the airline is planning re-accommodation on alternate flights for the rest of guests who missed their connections due to this unfortunate development.
