A 29 years old woman was allegedly kidnapped by 3 men from Mewat from her father’s house and gang-raped her in the Aravalli hills in Badshahpur which is 20 km from Gurgaon, last week.
According to the report of HT that 3 men gangraped the woman because she dared to publicly shame them for harassing her.
As per the report that a month ago, the village panchayat had hauled up the three suspects for harassing the woman. They were let off after they apologised to her in front of the gathering.
According to the report that Since then, the woman began to live with her parents at a village in Badshahpur along the Gurgaon-Sohna road.
On Saturday night around 11:30 pm, when she was at her father’s two-room house with her four younger brothers, 3 men barged in, abducted her on a two-wheeler, took her to the Aravalli hills of Gairatpur Bas village, and they gang-raped her there.
The father of the victim woman, a security guard, was on night duty while the mother of victim woman was undergoing treatment at a local hospital when the incident happened. When her father returned home, he could not find his daughter. On Saturday, She returned home and narrated the incident to her father. After this they registered a complaint in the police station.
The victim woman, who is married, alleged that the three youth began to harass her after she moved in with her husband.
The police have registered an FIR under several sections of the IPC, but the accused are absconding.
The victim woman’s father said that they are known rabble-rousers. The entire village in Mewat knows them.
