After Engineer Died, his Wife and 3 Children Committed Suicide

HYDERABAD: On Friday night, A mother with their three siblings committed suicide by jumping in front of train at Ankushapur village near Ghatkesar.


Police suspected that they took their lives due to the family’s head death, 54-year-old P Satyanarayana, who succumbed to tuberculosis.

In the early hours of Saturday, this incident came to light when a railway employee noticed a locked Tata Vista car close to the tracks. He went near the vehicle after notice, he found a man inside it. The railway employee knocked the door of the car, but he did not get any response from the man who was in the car. Then he began looking for any others who might have come in the car with him and during this he found four dismembered bodies on the railway tracks.

The police said that the deceased were identified as Satyanarayana, the head of the family and his wife P Meera Bai, 50. Their three children P Swathi, 32, Neelima, 28, and Shivram Krishna, 24, who were found on the tracks.

Police said that Swathi and Shiva were B Tech graduates, while Neelima was an M Tech graduate. None of them was employed.

The police also spoke to the relatives of  the deceased. DSP of Police T Govardhan said that their relatives said that the deceased did not have any financial problems.

Railway police inspector Anjaneyulu told to media that It appeared that all the four placed their heads on the tracks before a train passed over them.

They took a service road, after reaching the HPCL factory at Ghatkesar. After this they reached the railway tracks that are about 30 meters away from the road.
The local police said that the deceased family might have walked to the tracks where they gave up their lives. There was no suicide note found at the spot or in their Tata Vista car.
