OMG! After Narsingh Yadav, Another dope controversy hits NADA

The Narsingh Yadav’s controversy is still fresh in our mind as this Indian wrestler has finally got banned after so much of drama. Earlier, he was accused of having an illegal substance, but later he was cleared by the NADA but when he went for Rio Olympics, he was banned by WADA for four long years.

And, now another athlete has come forward and appealed in Delhi High court against her ban for four years. Sumanti Devi is an Indian National weightlifter who was banned last year for having illegal steroids.

According to Sumanti Devi, the incident took place on March 3, 2015, when she returned from a practice session, her colleague and roommate were making a protein shake for her and she put some illegal substance in that drink and offered Sumanti in a friendly manner.

Sumanti who was aware of any such instance, drink that shake and later failed a dope test. This incident took place when Sumanti was participating in the 63rd All India Police Games Championship in March 2015. She was sharing her role with her colleague in the sports hostel attached to Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.

Later, she failed the dope test and was banned. But, now she appealed against this and let see what court has to say about this.
