Akshaye Khanna : I’ll Leave Everything for Dil Chahta Hai Sequel

Akshaye Khanna : I’ll Leave Everything for Dil Chahta Hai Sequel : One of the most successful and famous movies about teens and friendship in B’Town is Farhan Akhtar directorial Dil Chahta Hai. The friends-centric film became an on-the-spot blockbuster hit upon its release in 2001. It featured Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna  and the only actress dimple queen Preity Zinta in lead roles. The teens could genuinely connect with the movie thanks to its storyline and concept. And if you were wondering for a sequel to this hit film, you are not the one in the queue. Akshaye is with us too.

While speaking to a news daily the star explained that he would forget everything for a series to Dil Chahta Hai.

“I’ll leave everything to act in it.” All I have to say is- SAME. Same Akshaye, Same. “I’ll do it  provided the script is fantastic. Also, it has to receive a collective thumbs up from the rest of the team.” Those are some legit conditions. Though a sequel to this classic seems like a far-fetched dream, one can always dream. And we definitely have our fingers crossed for this to dream to come true. Hey Farhan, Aamir, Saif! Are you guys listening?

Akshaye came back to the silver screen with a little smaller role in the recent hit film Dishoom. The movie features John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles and Akshaye as the villain in the film as supporting cast. He says he chose to star in Dishoom as he loved the script and as it includes an interesting concept.

Akshaye told a news portal.

“The role really excited me and we had a great cast. Since I had taken such a long break, the first three to four films… I wanted to do substantial roles but smaller parts just to get back into the rhythm,”

Directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros International Media Ltd, Dishoom released on July 29.
