According to the police, a married woman was raped at Papisettypalem village of Nekarikallu mandal in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, late on Wednesday night.
Visitor rapes married woman in Vijayawada
According to the reports, a person named A. Balakrishna Naik visited a house in the village on Wednesday to meet a person. The person’s wife informed him that her husband had gone out.
Reportedly, Naik then forced himself into the house and raped the woman before fleeing. The woman informed her husband when he returned later. They approached the Nekarikallu police and lodged a complaint on Thursday.
Sub-inspector K. Udayabhanu said that a case has been registered and investigation is underway. While the victim has been admitted to Narasaraopet Government Hospital for medical examination, the accused has been taken into custody.
