easyMarkets Joins FxPro and Plus500 with the Latest Real Betis Sponsorship

There seems to be a synergy between online trading companies and football, as easyMarkets had joined a select group of brokers that managed to sign important sponsorship contracts. Since August 16th, it is the main sponsor of Real Betis Balompié, a three-year contract which brought the easyMarkets logo on the official shirt front.

€2 million per year for Real Betis

According to the latest information, the contract is valued at €2 million per year and will ensure greater financial stability for a football club that had to face several tough La Liga seasons. Facing relegation during the 2015-2015 season had been a real test for the team and for the fans, as well, but eventually, Betis managed to win the Segunda Division, rejoined the ranks of the biggest Spanish teams.

The 2019-2020 season started with several new changes at the team. After finishing 10th in the previous year, the coach Quique Setien had been removed from the squad and Espanyol’s Joan Rubi had been handled the hard task of bringing the team where it belongs.

Partnering with easyMarkets may have been the financial relief the club needed. At the present time, it is one of the most important brokerage companies in the world, with offices in different continents, offering a wide range of trading products and professional features. With transparency, honesty, and simplicity, easyMarkets started its journey into the trading world in 2001 and continues to be an icon of the industry.

Not the first club working with a brokerage company

This isn’t the first time an important football club partners with a major brokerage company. Plus500 is currently the main sponsor of Atletico de Madrid, while FxPro currently sponsors the Premier League team Watford FC.

Ramon Alarcon, the current CBO of Real Betis highlighted the move of a technology-based CFD broker entering the football space as “satisfactory”, and showing the “efforts made in the digital environment” by the club. With both companies represented by the green and white colors, this may be the beginning of a much longer partnership.

Challenges lie ahead for Real Betis

Despite the major changes at the team which took place during the past few months, the 2019-2020 season will prove to be an important challenge for the team, given that expectations had been raised and fans want to see their favorite team ending on a much better position.

The first round ended with a home defeat against Valladolid, and on Sunday Joan Rubi and his team will have to face FC Barcelona on Camp Nou, in what could be their biggest test of the season. Betis managed to secure a big victory against Barcelona a year and the fans are eager to see whether a similar outcome will happen again. No matter the result, the team will have to think about Leganes, Getafe, and Osasuna, their next opponents, which should provide higher chances of grabbing a bigger number of points. It will be interesting to see what will the team manage to accomplish with the support of easyMarkets.
