Australian sacked four player for the 3rd test match against South Africa, new faces makes to squad

The Australia Cricket Board has announced the Australia Test team for the third test match against the South Africa. The loss in the second test match cost the Steven Smith led side the series as they are 2-0 in the series and Australian Coach Darren Lehman hinted that most of the player would be dropped from the squad except for David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith and Josh Hazelwood.

The new squad features the bunch of new faces and with no surprise the players like Joe Burns, Adam Voges, and Callum Ferguson, as well as wicketkeeper Peter Nevill has been sacked.

The new players include four uncapped players in the form of openers Matt Renshaw and Nic Maddinson, seamer Chadd Sayers, and wicketkeeper-batsman Peter Handscomb.

The 12 man squad also features Wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade and seamer Jackson Bird returning to the team. Meanwhile, off-spinner Nathan Lyon and Usman Khawaja have retained their places in the squad.

The next test match against the South Africa will be a day and night Test match which will be played with the pink ball, and it will be the test of the new Australian batting unit against the formidable South African bowling unit.

Steve Smith (captain), David Warner, Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja, Nic Maddinson, Nathan Lyon, Matt Renshaw, Jackson Bird, Peter Handscomb, Chadd Sayers, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade.
