The incrediable film Airlift which was released on 22nd January 2016 is a superhit movie and is still running in the theaters with the great story it tells and outstanding performance of Akshay Kumar. Being an inspirational movie, The bihar Cabinet decided to exempt entertainment tax on bollywood “Airlift”.

A cabinet meeting took the decision as the film inculcates the feeling of pride and honour for the country among youths, Cabinet Secretariat Department’s Principal Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra said
Airlift is directed by Raja Menon, the movie is loosely based on the true story of how Indians were evacuated from Kuwait after the Iraqi invasion in 1990. The film captures the story of the Indians stuck in Kuwait during that time, through the eyes of Ranjit Katiyal and a few other characters.

This is a story about how these Indians, with the help of Ranjit Katiyal, managed to survive the Iraqi invasion, andagainst all odds, move across Iraq into Jordan, from where they were brought home to India by the largest ever Airlift attempted in the history of the world.
These add-ons qualitatively diminish an otherwise well-handled film that is unusual on the Bollywood firmament, the sort rarely headlined by a star of Akshay Kumar’s stature in this industry. Our hypothetical Director 2 should have respected the audience’s intellect a little more.
Airlift draws on an episode in our history that most other countries would have tomtommed from the rooftops if it had been their success story. Not so in India where filmmakers dread touching recent history because of the national penchant for bans and violence towards creative works we disagree with.

So for those who hasn’t watch this movie yet, here’s a treat for them and now you should go and watch this movie.
