Blackberry: Pulls the shutter on its Priv Smartphone Officially Dead

Well, as you all may know that old smartphone are struggling to get new updates for the buyers and that’s why they are struggling a lot. Sources are saying that Android is notorious and forgetting extremely short support for software on all kinds of handsets. Also, the market is not even working on the updates of old Android smartphones and soon they are going to shut down for sure. Till now, we can say that Blackberry, who made the decision to ditch its own OS in favor of Android, has decided to ax support for the Priv, declaring it to complete its two-year life cycle.

As per the reports the company itself wrote on the post and said “When we introduced our first Android device more than 24 months ago, we committed to delivering 2 years of monthly software updates for the PRIV.  True to our word, we fulfilled this commitment though, in truth, the PRIV’s built-in security posture had little need for many of the updates we delivered in conjunction with partners such as Google and Qualcomm. Having now stepped outside the original 2-year window, we will no longer be delivering monthly updates for the PRIV moving forward.”

Yes after reading this all the updates are going to stop working. The company feels confident about its security features that were baked into the PRIV and are confident that it shouldn’t worry existing users. As you all may know that the company is working hard on security and surely they are going to work on the same purpose for sure. So, the news is confirmed that the company won’t be working on the updates to all PRIV’s smartphone. You all are going to love this news because the company is working on good updates for sure.
