The Bollywood actor Nana Patekar comes forward to help the farmers who are committing suicide. Makrand Anaspure is also supporting him. The actors donate money to families of Farmers Who Committed Suicide because of draughts. He gave checks of Rs 15,000 each to around 115 families of farmers from Marathwada, Maharashtra. Other than the B-Town movie actor Nana Patekar also wants top Maharashtra leaders to come together to face the challenge created by the drought as no single party can tackle it alone.
Nana Patekar Comes Forward To Help Farmers
Regarding his wish and donating money the veteran actor spokes to the media and he says, “The challenge of drought is staring us in the face… I feel leaders like Sharad Pawar(NCP chief), Narayan Rane (Congress leader), and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis should come together to fight the crisis”.
He added further that, he does not know if his wish to see these leaders united fighting the scourge will come true or not.
He stated to the press yesterday that, “This (drought) is a natural calamity. I don’t know whether my wish (of these leaders coming together) will be fulfilled or not. The drought cannot be tackled by one party alone”.
The veteran movie artist Patekar and the Marathi actor Makrand Anaspure, they both have been decides to help the upset farmers families and they are just trying to come to terms with their tragedies, by distributed money for worth Rs 15,000 to 113 such families.
The actors personally went to the seats of the kin and handed over the Cheque to them.
He also exclaimed to the farmers’ families, “Keep fighting. Farmers will not see good days unless their produce gets a guaranteed price. Even a notebook, a pen or even a soap has price printed on them, but milk that farmers sell do not have any price”.
The “Agnisaakshi” actor further discuss about it and he says, “Many people have helped (farmers) in their own ways, we are just postmen”.
Regarding suicide are committing by the Muslim farmers these days the National Award winning star says about these, “Holy Quran terms suicide as a sin and betrayal of God’s will. This teaching of Quran touches my heart”.
