Well, as per the reports, an 8-year-old boy was attacked by a shark in North Carolina beach this recent Sunday. The boy was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital and he has suffered a leg injury and few more small injuries. The boy is unidentified yet and he was attacked while he was swimming off the bald head island.
Authorities are saying that a shark grabbed him by the leg at around 4 p.m while he was swimming into the beach. Also, the first responders who inspected the puncture wounds determined it was a shark. Even though it is unclear what of what kind of shark it was but reports are saying that it was brutal.
Also, the sources are saying that the International Shark Attack File at the University of Florida in Gainesville has started a research organization that tracks shark bite reports worldwide.
According to their report, a total of 32 unprovoked shark attacks happened in the United States in the year 2018. Also, the reports are coming that it increased to 48 percent of the worldwide total. The number was down from 53 attacks in 2017.
