BREAKING NEWS: Legendary Bollywood Actress Sri Devi Passes Away at Age 54 in Dubai: – The Bollywood Actress Sridevi, one of the most famous and celebrated movie stars of the Bollywood dies at the age of 54.

The veteran actress Sridevi is often credited as the first female superstar of the Hindi film industry and widely regarded as one of the most versatile and talented actresses of the Bollywood. Post the news broke regarding the sudden demise of the actress it just goes viral and the news started trending on the social site.

As per various reports and news the English Vinglish actress had gone to Ras al Khaimah for Kapoor’s nephew Mohit Marwaha’s wedding.

While, she was at the Dubai and her husband and daughter Khushi already returned to Mumbai, and it is the city Dubai, where Sridevi suddenly became the victim of the massive cardiac arrest.

Though, Sridevi’s elder daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor, hadn’t joined the family for the celebrations the wedding celebration as she was busy with the shooting of her debut movie, Dhadak, which is going to hit theatres on this July.

By the way, Boney Kapoor’s first wife, Mona Kapoor, also died before some months after her son Arjun Kapoor’s debut with the movie Iqshzaade.

This is regarded as a sad and astonishing co-incident, but the main point is that Boney Kapoor already lost his both wives, which is very sad news of the Sunday morning.

Sridevi’s last film was the critically-acclaimed Mom and much before that she worked in 2 movies, commercially and critically successful movie English Vinglish (Hinglish) and semi-hit Tamil movie Puli with Vijay and Shruthi Hasaan.

Having made a rousing comeback with English Vinglish Sridevi witnessed the consecutive success of the movie Mom, she had been cast in Dharma Productions’ yet-to-start Shiddat, reportedly the movie will be going to helmed by the 2 States’ Abhishek Varman.

As per media reports, she has been essayed a pivotal role in the Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming movie Zero which is yet to hit theatres on this Diwali.

The sad news was confirmed by her brother-in-law, the actor Sanjay Kapoor, at the Saturday night post-Sridevi dies from cardiac arrest. She was 54. “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet,” Sanjay confirmed the news to a leading media portal.


Born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Sridevi worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada and post she became a popular and talented leading actress of the Bollywood.

She begins her acting career in the late 1960s, but her performance in Malayalam film Poombata (1971) grabbed her state award for best child artist. Sridevi marked her Bollywood debut as a child artist with the movie Julie in 1975.


She made her acting debut as an adult at the age of 13 in Tamil film Moondru Mudichu in 1976. Sridevi went on to become one of the biggest female stars of the country and she also received Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor, in 2013.

Her most remarkable films include Sadma, Chandni, Himmatwala, ChaalBaaz, Mr. India, Nagina, Mawali, Tohfa and Gumrah among others.

Post the release of her movie Judaai, with her brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, she took a 15-year break from the Bollywood and make a glamorous comeback with the creative and wonderful movie English Vinglish in 2012.

SRK starrer Zero will be regarded as the last appearance of Sridevi, which will be release post her death, though the movie Mom will be credited as her last movie which released during her lifetime.
