The answer key and results of NTSE Exam for Stage 1 exam have been released by some states, while as Stage 2 exam is administered by NCERT. About NTSE:
National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) stands as a national-level scholarship program to shortlist students with academic talent and high intellect and is conducted in two stages. The first stage – NTSE Stage 1 exam is conducted by States/UTs to shortlist students for national-level Stage 2 exam which is conducted by NCERT. NTSE 2017 Stage 1 exam has been conducted on November 5, 6 & 13 across the country. Check below for updates on answer key and result of NTSE 2017 exam.
Exam Pattern:
NTSE Stage 1 and 2 exam consists of 200 questions divided as 50 questions each in Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Language Test (English/Hindi) sections, while remaining 100 questions fall under Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The Language Test remains as a qualifying test, while other two sections would be considered for shortlisting students for Stage 2 exam.
The students must score minimum 40% marks in Stage 1 exam in order to be considered for selection to Stage 2.
National Council for Education Research and Training distributes monthly scholarship of Rs. 1250 for Class XI and XII & Rs. 2000 for under graduate and post graduate course to all selected candidates.
15% scholarships are reserved for SC students and 7.5 for ST students. NTSE Stage 2 exam would be conducted on may 14, 2017, and the results will be announced within three months of the exam. The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks scored by the students in NTSE exam.
