Check Out the Royal Wedding at Mysore Palace, King Yaduveer Wadiyar Married to Trishika : Mysore’s Wadiyar dynasty is treating a grand wedlock as “King” Yaduveer Wadiyar tied an auspicious knot with Rajasthani royalty Trishika Kumari Singh today. The historic Mysore Palace beholds a royal nuptials for the very first time in 40 years.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is a 24-years-old bachelor who will marry Trishika Kumari, she is from the Noble royal family of Dungarpur in Rajasthan.
Yaduveer Wadiyar was adopted by Queen mother Rani Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, three years after the death of her husband Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wodeyar. The couple has no kids so she adopted Yaduveer Wadiyar as the king died without naming the successor.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar, who is the present titular Maharaja of Mysore, was crowned prince in May last year during a grand ceremony that embraced 40 priests and 1,000 guests.
After completing his study, English and Economics from Boston University, Wodeyar took the gaddi as the 27th titular Maharaja of Mysore.
Over 80 royal families and a thousand dignitaries from India and Abroad have been invited to the wedding. As many as 50 traditional rituals have been planned.
The wedding ceremony is taking place at the ‘Kalyana Mantapa’ of the Amba Vilas Palace.
The main tourist attraction palace will be out of restrained for the public for six days.
Mysore kings known as Wadiyars ruled present day Southern Karnataka for over 550 years.
The grand marriage took place today just a few hours ago. The Royal Wadiyar family has warmly welcomed her highness of the dynasty.
