Check! Petrol, Diesel Prices Down by Rs 2/Litre

Well, after a long gap finally very good news is coming out of the Indian people. As per the reports, the petrol and diesel prices were about to go down from today which means that everyone can enjoy the low price petrol from today. The petrol and diesel prices were considerably down on Wednesday, a day after the government brought down the excise duty on fuel by Rs 2 per liter.

Sources are saying that this effect happened because of the low excise duty on fuel by the government. Also, the reports are saying that this low price will be on for few days till any rise in excise duty. While petrol price in Mumbai on Tuesday was just below Rs 80 at Rs 79.99 per liter, on Wednesday, the price went down to Rs 77.51 per liter. The price of diesel also went down from Rs 62.82 per liter on Tuesday to Rs 60.43 per liter today.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Down

The price of petrol in Delhi went below Rs 70 and was at Rs 68.38 per liter on Wednesday while the price of diesel was Rs 56.89 per liter today, down from Rs 59.14 on Tuesday. The fuel prices were down in other cities too. Check the petrol and diesel prices in your city on October 4 here.

The Centre on Tuesday reduced the basic excise duties on Petrol and Diesel by Rs 2 Per Litre. “Earlier due to the increase in the international prices of Petrol and Diesel, during the last few weeks, the Retail Selling Prices (RSP) of Petrol and Diesel in Delhi have risen to Rs. 70.83/litre and Rs. 59.07/litre respectively, as on 2nd October 2017,” the Ministry said.

Well, in the end, we can say that this is very great news for the Indian people because since the very long time the price was rising a lot. Even, people in India and other opposition parties are making noise about the rise and now they are saying that this is just a political step.
