China successfully launches new earth observation satellite: On Saturday, the country China successfully launched a new Earth observation satellite that will be mainly used in agricultural resources research and disaster monitoring, official media reported the same.

In northwest China, The Gaofen-6 satellite was launched on a Long March-2D rocket at 12:13 pm (local time) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre.

Luojia-1, A scientific experiment satellite, was sent into space at the same time.

This was the 276th mission of the Long March rocket series, state-run Xinhua news agency reported further.

China is basically a communist state, but it has achieved tremendous accomplishments in various parameters for the last few decades together.
