Congress MLA and his assistant beat up Lineman on disconnect Power Supply

A local Congress MLA T. Rammohan Reddy, on Wednesday evening, abused and brutally beat up D. Ramesh who is the Lineman post in Telangana State Transco department lineman. Congress MLA beat him up for cutting the power supply to his residence in Parigi town. MLA also threatened him that he would take action against him.

 

MLA Rammohan Reddy also said to Ramesh that he will become the CM of the state when the Congress gets to power in the coming elections in 2019.

J. Ashok Reddy who the personal assistant of MLA, also abused and hit the lineman in the presence of Congress workers and leaders. In this case, there is no action taken on the MLA, but his assistant was booked for assault on lineman.The Lineman disconnected the power supply to Mr. Ramesh’s house because he did not pay his power bill of Rs 6,000 for the month of January before the due date of February 25. The linemen reported this incident to the police at Parigi Police station.

In this case, Parigi police registered a case against the MLA’s PA for assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharging his duty (353), voluntarily causing hurt (323) and intentionally insulting (504), of the IPC.

SI Y. Nagesh told that they were investigation the case. He told that Ramesh had gone to the residence of Mr. Rammohan Reddy on Wednesday to ask for the current bill overdue.  The assistant of the MLA was sitting with a group of Congress leaders and workers. The  Lineman – Ramesh told him that he will disconnect the supply if the power bill was not paid. After listening this, the MLA got angry and told him that is this how you demand payment? Do you want to defame the MLA in presence of his party? We won’t pay you anything… go and do whatever you want to.

The lineman – Ramesh spoke to his higher official regarding the due amount and received orders to disconnect the power supply with immediate effect. He came back and disconnected the supply after which the lineman was attacked by the assistant of the Congress MLA.
