On Tuesday, in Najafgarh area of Delhi, a 17-year-old girl was shot dead by unknown assailants.
Simran who was the resident of Deepak Vihar in Najafgarh was rushed to Ayushman Hospital in Dwarka, but she was declared dead there.
Simran along with her two friends had gone to Rajouri Garden to have lunch. When they were on their way back, they were stopped at Dwarka for some work. Around 7.30 p.m., the mother of Simran called her to know her whereabouts.
A car reached at the residence of victim, one unknown person shot her, the sound of the shot was heard by her mother as well.
On the reaching the spot, the mother of Simran found her daughter in a pool of blood. One of the friend of the victim went missing from the spot.
But, the car and the weapon have been recovered. The police have launched a preliminary investigation.
