DU 5th cut-off 2018 released: Delhi University releases list for UG admissions today at du.ac.in: The Delhi University is also known as the DU has released its fifth cut-off list today, on this 11th July, for admission to various undergraduate (UG) courses (based on merit) and this is for the for the academic session 2018-2019.
Hope and expectation of over thousands of students are tied to this list as this list is the perhaps their last chance to get admission in the university.
The list for science, commerce and arts stream is available at the official media portal of the The Delhi University — du.ac.in.
As of now, Most of the seats are vacant which are now in the reserved category. Other colleges which have released the fifth cut off of the students, which includes, of the colleges, like, Ramjas College, Gargi College, Satyawati College and Vivekananda College.
This time, there is a minor drop of 0.5-3 per cent in cut-offs in the across mostly all colleges.
Previous than the release of the fifth cut-off, around 50,000 apprentices have taken admission in Delhi University colleges.
Nearly, around, all 6,000 seats still lying vacant, Many colleges like, the Hindu College, Hansraj College, Institute of Home Economics, Rajdhani College have closed admissions for general category students in many courses.
This year on 2018, the Delhi University has asked colleges to release realistic cut-off lists. In the last few years, DU has released nearly 7-8th cut off which also leads to dragging of the admission process anyway which is obviously not liked by most of the students.
Ramjas College 5th cut-off
B.A: In Ramjas College, 93.75 per cent (general), 85.75 per cent (PwD) and 86 (Kashmiri migrants) is required for admission into B.A programme. Admission for the reserved categories have been closed.
B.A (Hons) Economics: Admission for B.A (Hons) Economics is open for all the categories witht the following cut-offs — 96.25 (general), 91.25 (OBC), 86 (SC), 83 (ST), 85 (PwD) and 86.75 (Kashmiri migrants).
B.A (Hons) English: 94.5 (general), 91 (OBC), 88 (SC), 87 (ST), 86 (PwD) and 88 (Kashmiri migrants)
B.A (Hons) History: 94 (general), 91.5 (OBC), 89.5 (SC), 89.5 (ST), 86 (PwD) and 88 (Kashmiri migrants)
B.Com: Admission has been closed for the general category. For all the other categories, the cut-off is — 93.75 (OBC), 92(SC), 85 (ST), 86 (PwD) and 88 (Kashmiri migrants)
B.Com (Hons): Students can still get admission in this course. Cut-off has been released for all the categories.
96.25 (general), 92 (OBC), 85 (ST), 76 (ST), 77 (PwD) and 86.75 (Kashmiri migrants).
Other courses for which admission is open are B.Sc (H) Botany, B.Sc (H) Maths, B.Sc (H) Physics, B.Sc Life Sciences.
Gargi College 5th cut-off
B.A: Admission for B.A programme is open for all the categories till now. Following is the cut-off for this course — 90.5 (general), 80.5 (OBC), 79.5 (SC), 75.5 (ST), 79 (PwD) and 81 (Kashmiri migrants). Admission has been closed for most of the courses.
For B.A (Hons) Economics, English and History admission is somehow open for reserved category applicants. For B.A (Hons) Philosophy, a general category candidate requires 86.5 per cent, OBC requires 79.5 per cent, SC requires 75 per cent and PwD and Kashmiri migrants need 83 per cent. Seats are also available for B.Com and B.Com (Hons) programme.
On July 5, The fourth cut-off was released. As many as around 26,291 of 56,000 seats were filled in the second list, and many well-known and famous colleges had closed their admissions.
Nevertheless, around 3,203 students withdrew their admissions. Popular colleges of Delhi, like, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and Hindu have closed their admission for most of the courses.
SRCC has no more seats left for its UG courses, whereas Hindu has closed admission for history, political science, sociology and philosophy all for the general category.
