DU Admission 2019: Delhi University 8th Cut-off List Out Check at du.ac.in

Delhi University (DU) has released the 8th round of cut-off on Monday, August 26, 2019. Students can check the DU 8th cutoff 2019 on the official website of the university. The candidates who are eligible for the admissions are required to complete the admission process in the given time period. The document verification for the eligible candidates ate the different colleges begins on August 27, 2019, which is today. The 8th cutoff of Delhi University 2019 is available on the official website du.ac.in.

After the document verification process is completed candidates can submit the admission Fee following which the seats will be confirmed. It is mandatory for the candidates to be physically present for the document verification process.

Hansraj Suman, the chairperson of the DU’ SC, ST, and OBC teachers’ association, said that colleges not reducing the cut-offs for the reserved categories is leading to the vacant seats. He said, “There is a marginal difference between the general category students and the EWS category. The cut-offs for even the SC, ST and OBC categories are also very high even after eight cut-off lists are issued.”

While the admissions have been closed for the General Category in all the three programmes seats are still available for a few of the courses under the reserved category. Out of the available number of seats, 63.9% seats reserved for the economically weaker section (EWS) and 52.2% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) are still lying vacant. Also, 20% of seats reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and 16% seats for Scheduled Castes (SCs) are yet to be filled.

Apart from reserved seats, some seats in general category popular courses are still available which includes Kirori Mal College, SRCC, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, and Daulat Ram College. The cut-off for BA (Hons) Economics for SRCC stands at 97.72%, BA (Hons) English cut-off for Gargi College stands at 95%, 95.75% for Kirori Mal and 95.25 for Ramjas.
