After a severe Earthquake in japan, Tremors were experienced in Ongole, Addanki, Inkollu, Ballikuruva and several other areas in Prakasam district this morning, The Earthquake, with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter Scale was felt at 6.09 am, and its epicentre was near Ongole in Prakasam district, according to the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) observatory here.

“The tremors were felt in the distance of around 60-70 km area from its epicenter. It was a low intensity quake and the area is seismically active with small magnitude earthquake it is nothing to worry,” NGRI chief scientist R K Chaddha said.
The Earth quake was felt for around 5 seconds. but stills there’s a ray of hope for all Indian’s because There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property.
