The very anticipated Dhanush starrer film “Jagame Thandhiram” is all set to make its theatrical release very soon not only in theatres but also on the online streaming platform. The announcement of the movie was made by Netflix India on Monday along with its teaser.
Dhanush Starrer Jagame Thandhiram Released
Jagame Thandhiram is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and has been produced by S. Sashikanth’s YNOT Studios, together with the Reliance Entertainment. It is an upcoming action thriller film from which is also going to be premiered on Netflix India.
Dhanush will be seen in the lead role where he is playing the character ‘Suruli’. Along with him, Aishwarya Lekshmi and James Cosmo will also be seen in the lead roles of the film. For the supporting roles, you will see many talented actors such as Joju George, Soundararaja, Sanchana Natarajan, Ashwanth Ashokkumar, Kalaiyarasan, Deepak Paramesh, among a few more.
As we have said, Dhanush will be playing as Suruli who is a small-time gangster in Madurai. The teaser has shown Dhanush turning into a part of a foreign gang situated in London. On the basis of the teaser, it seems to be like that the viewers are going to witness the journey of Dhanush from Madhurai to London.
The shooting of the movie started in the year 2019 (September), including most of the filming across several locations in London, Madurai and Chennai. The filming of the movie was wrapped up in December 2019, on which Dhanush had tweeted on his Twitter account “That’s a wrap for D 40.” He also mentioned that this is one of the quickest movies that he has done so far.
However, it was initially scheduled for a launch on 1 May 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date was shifted to next year (2021). Now finally after a long wait, it was later confirmed that the film is going to be release digitally on the popular online streaming platform i.e. Netflix. The film is going to be available in few other Indian languages and its dubbed Telugu version goes with the different title “Jagame Tantram”.
In addition to that, Dhanush’s other movie is scheduled to be released on April 9 and the title of the movie is Karnan. For his upcoming projects, other than these two releases in 2021, he has been currently working on ‘The Gray Man’. This is an upcoming Netflix film and the best part is that this movie is helmed by Russo Brothers who also directed Avengers: Endgame. Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans will also be seen along with Dhanush in this upcoming Netflix film.
