It is in the rumors that Jahnavi Kapoor’s upcoming film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Ishan Khattar, Ananya Panday starrer Khaali Peeli is all set to mark the digital debut at the place of hitting theatres. Both of the films have been produced by ZEE and we all are aware that this lockdown will not get over soon. It is the reason ZEE is deciding to release both of the films on the OTT platform. It has been informed by one of the biggest OTT platforms, Netflix that the rights of the films have been bought by Netflix. Now both of the films will be streamed on Netflix.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is an upcoming biopic. The film is featuring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role while Khaali Peeli is also an upcoming 2020 film that is starring Ishan Khattar and Ananya Panday Actors in the lead roles. It has been directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Himanshu Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar.
When ZEE was asked about the streaming of the film on its own platform, on this ZEE said that now the biggest OTT platform Netflix has bought the rights of the film. Now both of the films Gunjan Saxen: The Kargil Girl and Khaali Peeli will be released on Netflix. The interesting fact about the film is Karan Johar who is one of the producers of Jahnavi Kapoor’s film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has already had a contract with Netflix, it is the reason why it is being bought by Netflix. It has been announced officially that due to lockdown people are unable to reach theatres and it is also impossible for the upcoming few months. In response to it, directors have decided to release it on Netflix direct without releasing it in theatres.
