About the Movie & Cast
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is an Indian biographical drama film that was released this year in 2020. The movie has been directed by Sharan Sharma under the production banner of Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role who portrait a real-life biography of an Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, one of the first very few Indian female air-force pilots to assist in the Kargil war and other combats. Riva Arora played the role of Gunjan in her young age.
Other than the lead role the supporting cast also did an exceptional job in the movie. Pankaj Tripathi and Ayesha Raza Mishra played the role of Gunjan’s father and mother as Anup Saxena and Kirti Saxena respectively. The role of Gunjan’s brother was a portrait by Angad Bedi as Anshuman Saxena. Other supporting cast includes Vineet Kumar Singh and Chandan K Anand as Dileep Singh and Ashish Ahuja, who played the role of a Fight commander officer and Chief Instructor respectively.
