After more than a year of their marriage, the couple Katharine McPhee and David Foster has welcomed their first child into the family. The confirmation of their first childbirth has been revealed by McPhee’s representative Leslie Sloane in a statement where she stated that the couple has welcomed a baby boy and she is very happy and excited to confirm this news. However, not any other details have been revealed yet.
Katherine McPhee Gives Birth to First Child
The “American Idol” alum last year in December has confirmed that she was expecting her first child. The confirmation of her pregnancy was made on Instagram where the photos of McPhee holding her baby bump was published while confirming the news. Her comment on that post was two blue hearts and one blue butterfly, which indicated by many that she might be hinting about the sex of her baby.
The couple first met each other in 2006 in the fifth season of American Idol when Foster mentored McPhee and other participants of that season. She didn’t win that season as she ended up as the runner-up but she surely won the heart of David Foster and they later got married in the year 2019. They tied the knot on June 28, 2019 at the Church of Saint Yeghiche in the South Kensington district of West London, as per to the reports of US Weekly.
One year later on June 2020, Katharine McPhee and David Foster also celebrated their one-year marriage anniversary. They also shared the photos of both of them from their wedding day. McPhee shared the pictures on Instagram where she also wrote a loving message that reads “A year ago today I married the love of my life,” she further thanked him for “always loving me as well as inspiring me in all aspects of my life. I love you.”
McPhee also revealed the sex of her child when she appeared on a recent episode of the Women on Top Podcast. In that episode she revealed that the baby is a boy and she also shared what is going to teach her son afterward. She stated that now that she know she is having a boy, there are certainly some different stuffs she needs to worry about “to teach him versus the things I would be thinking about with a girl,” McPhee said.
Meanwhile, Foster already have adult kids from her second wife Rebecca Dyer named Sara, Erin, and Jordan. He also have two more daughter from his previous relationships and those are Allison, and Amy. Also, the marriage with Katharine McPhee is the fifth marriage of David Foster.
