NTR Biopic: Is Balakrishna has Kept Rs 80 crore offer on hold?: The reports are coming that the biopic of late legendary actor NTR also known as NT Rama Rao is said to have received a generous offer of Rs 80 crore for its theatrical rights but things aren’t going as they way expected. Reports are coming that actor-cum-producer Nandamuri Balakrishna is putting this deal on hold yes you are reading it right, it looks like that some concentration or something like this is going on.
You all may already know that the NTR biopic, which is being made in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, is one of the most-awaited Indian movies, of this year. Some reports are suggesting that the movie is yet to complete its shooting, but the hype surrounding it has made many distributions vie hands for its theatrical rights. Sources are saying that Sony Pictures, which is one of the leading distributions houses of India, has offered a whopping Rs 80 crore deal but they put it on the hold.
Some reports are indicating that the NTR biopic has a pan-India appeal as it is directed by Krish of Gabbar Is Back fame and features Vidya Balan and Prakash Raj. As per the reports, the Hans India has quoted that, “Sony Pictures has offered Rs 80 crore for the Telugu, Hindi and Tamil rights but Balakrishna has kept it on hold.” Gautamiputra Satakarni has fetched Rs 46.80 crore from the sale of its global theatrical rights and this is the highest amount of any of his films.
Also, the reports are confirming that “They also believe that apart from Balakrishna, the casting of B-Town star Vidya Balan and with Telugu-Hindi filmmaker Krish helming the biopic, the project has attained pan-India appeal. Besides, with popular actor Prakash Raj and others playing key roles, they believe that it will rock the box office across the world.”
