Upcoming Avatar Sequels Series 2, 3, 4, 5 Release Date Delayed: Cast, Story, & Trailer

You all must be well aware of the 2009 action-adventure Sci-fi/fantasy film which won everyone’s heart from its story and through its extremely special visual effects. Yes, the movie is none other than Avatar. James Cameron who is the director of Avatar seems to be very excited while talking about his forthcoming Avatar series. Well, he has big plans for the sequels of Avatar which he also hinted while talking to media that he along with his team spent one and half years to discover new technology in the film industry which he claims that it has never been done before. He also announced the first two release of Avatar in 2010 which was aiming for a release in 2014 but due to development of new technology in order to capture scenes underwater, took a lot of time due to which its release was postponed. Avatar Series Release Date

Now, Avatar 4 forthcoming series are revealed, so without wasting any time, here are the sequels of Avatar series which you have been waiting for long time.

Here are when all the Avatar sequels are coming out:

“Avatar 2” – Dec. 16, 2022

“Avatar 3” – Dec. 20, 2024

“Avatar 4” – Dec. 18, 2026

“Avatar 5” – Dec. 22, 2028

  1. Avatar: The way of water (2020)

This is the sequel of Avatar (2009) which is going to be released in 18th December 2020 which is directed, produced and co-written by James Cameron. The movie is going to be released after 12 years of its original release Avatar (2009). Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder and Matt Gerald are in the lead roles. The plot is unknown but it is clear that most of the scenes in ‘Avatar 2’ are underwater because of which James Cameron along with his team invented new technology to capture underwater scenes.

  1. Avatar: The Seed Bearer (2021)

This is the sequel of Avatar: The Way of Water (2020), the plot is not revealed yet, except of its release date which is on 17th December 2021. James Cameron also revealed in his interviews that the underwater scenes will also carry on in Avatar 3. James Cameron is also producing the movie along with Jon Landau, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder and Matt Gerald are expected on the lead role.

Avatar 3 started shooting from 15th August 2017 along with Avatar 2. The next two sequels are expected to start its shooting as soon as the first two sequels will wrap its production.

  1. Avatar: The Tulkun Rider (2024)

This is the sequel of Avatar: The Seed Bearer (2021), the plot is not revealed yet, except of its release date which is on 17th December 2021. The movie is going to be released after 15 years of its original release Avatar (2009). Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Giovanni Ribisi, CCH Pounder and Dileep Rao are repeating their roles. Stephan Lang and Matt Gerald are also expected on the lead cast despite their characters death in the first part. Sigourney is also returning in this Avatar 4 and would be playing a different character. There will be also new cast such as cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin and Kate Winslet.

Although, the production work has not yet started due to the ongoing production work of Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. Cameron stated that the production will be started after the completion of second-third sequel of Avatar. In one of his interview he said “Let’s face it, if Avatar2 and 3 don’t make enough money, there’s not going to be a 4 and 5”.

  1. Avatar: The Quest for Eywa (2025)

This is the sequel of Avatar: The Tulkun Rider (2024) and the last one of the Avatar series which is going to be released after 16 years of the original Avatar movie. The movie is going to be released on 19th December 2025.Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, Cliff Curtis, CCH Pounder and Matt Gerald are expected on the lead role. The plot is not disclosed yet and the production work will start along with Avatar 4.
