One of the most loved and praised movie of Tollywood, “Jathi Ratnalu” is all set to make its digital appearance on the OTT platform. The movie was earlier released theatrically on 11th March 2021 and despite the Chinese virus pandemic, the comedy movie became a blockbuster hit. The genre of the movie is Comedy-drama. Those who were not able to watch the movie at the theatres have got an amazing opportunity to watch it on the digital platform and also, the scenes that were deleted in the movie, will be shown on the OTT platforms this time. The movie is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on 11th April 2021. The movie is directed under the direction of Anudeep KV and is produced by Nag Ashwin under the production banner of Swapna Cinema. The writing of the movie is also done by Anudeep, while the principal cinematography is done by Saddam Manohar with the editing help of Abhinav Reddy Danda. The story of the moive revolves around the three characters, Jogipet Srikanth, Ravi and Sekhar.
Srikanth who used to work at his father’s ladies boutique shop decides to leave his hometown, Jogipet in search of a job in Information Technology. He challenges his father that he will get the job within two months and therefore he moved to Hyderabad along with his two friends, Sekhar and Ravi. However, fate was not on their side, as they were accused of a crime that they never committed and their life takes a major turn just like a rollercoaster ride.
The role of Srikanth is portrayed by Naveen Polishetty, who also made his debut in the Hindi moive Chichhore in the year 2019. Priyadarshi has played the role of Sekhar while Rahul Ramakrishna has played the role of Ravi. The estimated budget of the moive is INR 4 Crore and the movie’s net collection at the box office was around Rs. 75 Crore. The movie collected Rs. 15.4 crore overseas, while its gross collection in India is Rs. 59.6 crore.
When the movie was released theatrically, the running time was approximately 2.5 hours and now that the scenes that were deleted earlier, will be shown on Amazon, it is expected that the movie will have a longer running time. The moive was earlier released only in the Telugu language, but as it is releasing on the OTT platform, the chances are high that the subtitles will be provided for this movie.
