Facebook and Instagram Down, Users ‘unable to post’ or share content & Report Global Outage

There were many Facebook and Instagram users who are not able to access to their social networks’ services on Sunday in an apparent worldwide disruption. Apparently, the issue started around 6:30 a.m. PT, as per to Down Detector. On August 4, a lot of users from different parts of the world took to Twitter in order to report concerns and issues regarding Facebook as well as Instagram.

Facebook, Instagram hit by another global outage

A user wrote, “So Facebook isn’t uploading videos this morning? (at least it’s not working here),” tweeted Sean Platter, Art Director at Universal Animation Studios, Los Angeles. “Facebook share not working today,”

There were many Instagram users who complained of not being able to log in to their accounts, while Facebook users on the other hand said that they were having trouble in sharing status updates along with media like photos and videos.

However, there were users across the US, Canada, Australia and some parts of Asia who have complained of not even having any access to both of these social networking sites.

“Every comment I make is being deleted for ‘going against community standards,'” Christine Caro wrote Sunday morning on Isitdownrightnow.com.

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are still down for some users around the world

Facebook is not only being the target of this outage but also in the last few months, Google services such as Gmail, Maps and Calendar have also broke down many times for users across the world.

Also, last month in July, major social networking sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram faced the major global outage which prohibited people from sending messages or downloading media. There were about more than 14,000 users who reported the same issues with Instagram, while on the other hand there were more than 7,500 and 1,600 users who complained about Facebook and WhatsApp, as per to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

At that time a Facebook spokesperson has reacted to the outage and said, “Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms. The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100% for everyone. We’re sorry for any inconvenience,”

This year, people have seen so many occasions where these everyday social networking apps faced major outages running into quite a lot of hours, not only in India but globally as well. Also, in one of the incident on March 14, Facebook apps recorded their longest ever outage which lasted for 12-hour.

In the meantime, Facebook on the other hand didn’t immediately responded to a request for any comment regarding the issue.
