Delhi Police has lodged the FIR against the Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg. She is also well known for her challenging world leader to take immediate action against climates to change. Greta Thunberg said in her first tweet on Tuesday night, she wrote,” We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India” and then, she shared a CNN article on the ongoing farmers’ protest in India and how internet service was suspended around Delhi’s border. Her tweet showed that Rihana brought global attention to this issue.

In another tweet, she wrote,” Here’s an updated toolkit by people on the ground in India if you want to help. (They removed their previous document as it was outdated.) #StandWithFarmers #FarmersProtest” and she also shared the document about the campaign.

Delhi Police filed an FIR against Greta Thunberg with charged her section 153A which means promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion and race and section 120B for Criminal conspiracy in India.

It was rumored for the teenage climate activist that she has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize this year after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued that the not to spread the name of the celebrities across the world to use hashtag behind their names and don’t make this sensational all over the world.

On the day of Wednesday, the Ministry of External Affairs said,” this is “miserable” that some groups are getting international support.

In the official statement of MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava, India said, “Before rushing to comment on such matters, we would urge that the facts be ascertained, and a proper understanding of the issues at hand be undertaken. The temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible”.
