Well, reports are coming that Ford India has announced the expansion EcoSport model lineup with a new top-of-the-line EcoSport S and Signature Edition. Sources are saying that the company has launched new top-spec trim with its globally acclaimed 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol engine which is going to deliver class-leading 125PS of peak power and 170Nm of torque and it is available in the previous-generation EcoSport as well.

Ford EcoSport S Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 11.37 Lakh

Even the company is offering it with an introductory price of Rs 11.37 lakh for the petrol and Rs 11.89 lakh for the 1.5-litre Dragon powered diesel version. You all can get limited duration Signature Edition which is also available as an option pack on the EcoSport’s Titanium variant, priced at Rs 10.40 lakh for the petrol and Rs 10.99 lakh for the diesel option. Also, the reports are saying that both the powertrains are similar to the standard model of the compact SUV.

Overall, Anurag Mehrotra, president and managing director at Ford India said that “In line with our Feels like Family Promise, we are committed to meeting diverse needs of our customers and act on their feedback. The addition of Sunroof, a feature that customers have been demanding, and world-renowned EcoBoost engine technology, is an example of our commitment.”

Now if we talk about the look then we can say that EcoSport S variant also receives smoked HID (High-Intensity Discharge) headlamps with dark inserts and a more prominent black treatment to the fog lamp bezel. Even the dark theme has been carried all through the exterior design with a blacked out grille, black painted roof and roof rails, and 17-inch smoke alloys. Also, it has 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine further promise of being extremely efficient — claiming a fuel economy of 18.1kmpl and 12 percent lower CO2 emissions.
