Candidates who want to take admission into M.Tech are required to register on the web portal of COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal). All the eight IIT institutes in India including IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Guwahati, Indore, Kharagpur, Madras, Delhi, IIT Roorkee and all other institutes use the platform of COAP, where they upload the result of the seat allotment. The candidates who want to get admission to the above-mentioned institute are required to register on the portal of CAOP and also are required to register on the other respective website of the institutes for the same.
However, candidates with a valid GATE score can only apply on this portal. The counselling for the COAP 2021 have already started while the conducting bodies have also started the seat allotment result for the 1st Round on their official website, “coap.iitd.ac.in”. Keeping in mind the current scenario, this time the authority is conducting the first round in the online mode. The first round of COAP 2021 is starting from 28th May 2021 and will end on 30th May 2021.
COAP 2021: Procedure for checking the result of 1st round Seat Allotment
Candidates are required to visit the official website of COAP, that is, “coap.iitd.ac.in”. Thereafter, the candidates are required to follow the below procedure to check the result of the seat allotment of Round 1.
- At the web portal, candidates are required to log in and for that, they need an ID and password pair. Those who are registered with the portal will have the password and Id of the same.
- After login, the candidates are required to click on the seat allotment button.
- The screen will show the result of all the seats that the candidates have applied for and will also show the status of the result.
- The candidates can accept and freeze or retain and wait for the allotted seats and can also reject the same as per their convenience.
COAP 2021: Important Dates
As previously mentioned, the first round of COAP will take place from 28th May to 30th May 2021.
- Round 1: 28th May to 30th May 2021
- Round 2: 4th June to 6th June 2021
- Round 3: 11th June to 13th June 2021
- Round 4: 18th June to 20th June 2021
- Round 5: 25th June to 27th June 2021
There is a total of 5 rounds that will take place in the COAP 2021 and apart from these results, an additional round is also conducted by the authority. The additional round will further contain five rounds and will start from 2nd July 2021 to 1st August 2021. We would like to draw the attention of the candidates to the fact that those who have not allotted any seats in the first round will have to wait for the following rounds.
