Gionee is a Chinese company which slowly is expanding its presence all over India because of its higher end specs at affordable range and now the company is all set to add a new variant to its popular series. Speculations are going around that Gionee is all set to launch its new variant named Gionee V381 which is definitely going to be a mid range smart phone but carrying bit odd features. It has been recently seen at both Chinese certification authority i.e TENAA and GFX bench results. The USP of this handset will be its juicy battery.

Display:
Gionee V381 is a 5” handset offering screen resolution of 960X540 pixels. There is a bit conflict here in display, TENNA states that V381 sports 5” display while GFX Bench results states that it comes up with 4.6” display. So for now we are not sure about the display but once it will be clear, we will update our readers. The screen resolution may sound disappointing to the one who expects clear HD quality in their handsets.
OS and Processor:
It functions on android 4.4.4 Kitkat version which is also slightly disappointing as many of the mid range as well as low-range smart phones comes up with inbuilt Android 5.0 Lolipop update. Talking about the processor, then it runs on 1.3GHz Quad core processor which is based on MediaTek MT6572 chipset. The combination of the processor and chipset is quite odd but we hope that it will deliver satisfactory performance.
It accommodates ARM mali-T760 GPU to enhance the graphics of the apps one use.
Camera:
Camera is also one of the essential features which one seeks in a smart phone. It sports 12MP of rear snapper which will include features like face detection, LED Flash, auto focus, HDR Photos and touch focus. The rear camera is capable of running Ultra High Definitions videos.
