Happy Civic/ Provincial Day 2019 Date, Significance, Customs & Celebrations: Civic/ Provincial Day which is also popularly known as Civic Holiday is a public holiday which is celebrated every year in most of Canada on the first Monday in August. It is a public holiday in some areas where it is a day off and schools and most businesses are closed. On the other hand, in other areas, Civic/Provincial Day is a normal working day.
