Happy Teachers Day 2018: History of this day & Importance of Teacher in our life

Happy Teachers Day 2018: History of this day & Importance of Teacher in our life: The Indian culture was always respectful of the “Teacher & Student” relationship. I used “was” because nowadays things aren’t looking that strong like they should be. I am not bragging about anything bad, but we all know that this strict and caring relationship is changed a lot. Our teachers became the prime enemy of students (in their eyes, at least) and the students became the business or job thing for the teachers, and for this situation I don’t blame them both, I think the definition of institution is changed and now they are not a place of knowledge, but they are just like a business or a company. Happy Teachers Day Quotes

As you all may know that this day is celebrated as a birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on September 5, 1888. Happy Teachers Day Poems

He was very humble and a great scholar, philosopher and a Bharat Ratna recipient, Dr. Radhakrishnan was the first Vice President and second President of independent India. Overall, some students who are celebrating this event didn’t even know about the history which is why I think it is important to tell them why they are celebrating or doing something on Teachers Day. You all should know that every teacher was a student once and this is an endless chain.

Now, if we talk about the history then we can say that Dr. Radhakrishnan was a celebrated academic as I told you above. He was born into a Telugu family, he graduated with a master’s degree in Philosophy. He wrote – ‘The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore’, which was his first book in 1917 and placed Indian philosophy on the world map. Later, he taught at Chennai’s Presidency College and Calcutta University.  You all should know that he served as the Vice Chancellor of Andhra Pradesh University from 1931 to 1936.

Also, the greatest fact is he was very humble and ground to earth person, In 1936, Dr. Radhakrishnan was invited to teach Eastern Religions and Ethics at Oxford & he even served there for 6 years. Also, when he gets to know that he said, “Proud privilege” if his birthday was observed as Teachers’ Day. You all should know that he was a very great person, a person who can inspire a lot of youngsters, a person who can bring a new positive energy to our generation and we should start giving him much attention, at least to his good work.

In the end, Teachers Day 2018 is another day for Indian people where the big part of our generation is young, and they need someone to show them a path. You should keep that in mind that a lot of Indian youngsters are now on the wrong path like drugs, smoke, & other western culture is killing our culture, but who cares? I am going to end this article by wishing all the honest and hardworking teachers “Happy Teachers Day” because they deserve this, thank you for being here, we appreciate you and your efforts.
